Schedule an appointment

• Thanks for reaching out, the first step is to schedule an appointment. Please email (info@bayareagemlab.com), text or call us (925-998-9608) with your full name, email address, and phone number. Kindly let us know the purpose of your appraisal—whether for insurance coverage, estate planning, equitable distribution, resale, or identification services.

• We also encourage you to share a few images of your jewelry in advance so we can better understand the items and estimate the time needed for your appointment.

• Once we receive your information, we will contact you to arrange a time that works best for your schedule. After the appointment is confirmed, a $50 deposit is required via Zelle (925-998-9608). This deposit will be applied toward your final service fee. Our lab address will be provided upon confirmation (by appointment only).

• If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Otherwise, the deposit will be non-refundable.

Inspection

• During your visit, we will examine and identify your gemstones, diamonds, jade and jewelry. This includes evaluating key characteristics such as color, clarity, weight, and cut, manufacture methods, periods. For appraisal reports or written labs, we will also take high-quality photographs.

• All inspections are conducted in your presence, you will not need to leave your jewelry with us.

Report Delivery

• Once the appraisal report is completed, it will be delivered to you via email.

• A written lab report for identification services will be provided during the appointment.
